  • The Inaugural Communications Benchmarking Survey for Community Foundations is intended for community foundations of all sizes and locations.

  • Yes, you can return to the survey to pick up where you left off and/or edit previous responses. You may edit up until you click the “Done” button at the end of the survey.

Please note: If you accessed the survey from a web link you must use the same device and web browser you used to start the survey. If the survey link was emailed directly to you, you may access the survey from any computer as your responses are tied to your email address and not a cookie in your browser.

  • The senior-most communications and marketing staff member at your community foundation should complete/approve the content of this survey. Only one person from your organization should submit results for your community foundation.

  • The deadline for submitting this survey is 11:59 p.m. ET on May 31, 2025.

  • All public-facing results will be anonymized, so your individual answers will not be shared publicly.

  • You’ll receive many benefits, including:

    • You’ll receive free and individualized results this fall, whichcompare your responses to those of peer community foundations. You can use this information to make the case for more investment in your work, gain insights that will help you refine and improve your communications strategy, and understand fieldwide trends.

    • You’ll have opportunities to participate in exclusive webinars that will provide you with insights and best practices based on the results.

    • You’ll be eligible to set up a free 30-minute “Next Steps” consultation this fall with Turn Two Communications to discuss how you can use the data to support your work.

  • We’re excited to partner with any PSO that would like to help promote the survey to its members.

Any organization that promotes the survey and has at least 5 community foundation members who complete it can receive a free tailored webinar about the results.

  • The survey is a project of Turn Two Communications — a communications, PR, and branding agency that specializes in supporting the work of community foundations — and is guided by a volunteer steering committee of community foundation communications professionals.

  • You can register for a webinar on 5/15 at 2pm ET about the survey, to answer any questions. Click here to register.
